Cedar City Art, managed by the library, showcases various art exhibitions within various city owned buildings, visually enhancing our public spaces with art. Artists interested in showcasing their work are encouraged to apply for gallery space during the year 2018 and 2019. There is no entry fee to apply.


Artwork submitted for consideration must be original. Proposals for single artists, groups of artists, or organizations are accepted.

Application Process

Submit all required documents and send to Lauren McAfee at or delivered to the Cedar City Library in a manila folder, labeled ATIN Lauren McAfee, Assistant Librarian.

Required Documents:

  • Review and sign the Gallery Policy and Procedure (attached)
  •  Fill out the Exhibit Display Agreement (attached)
  • Submit with an exhibit proposal -two-page maximum detailing personal and professional experience, background, and describes the work for the exhibit (including medium used, dimensions of the pieces, etc).
  •  Include a portfolio (web addresses to electronic portfolios are allowed)

All applications are ongoing, and will be considered on a first-come first-served basis.

Gallery Spaces available:

Cedar City Library in the Park

Cedar City Library in the Park is located on 303 N 100 E Cedar City, UT 84721. The library is open Mon-Thru 9am -9pm, Fri & Sat 9am-6pm, and closed Sundays and Holidays. The gallery space available is roughly 64' and is located in the main area of the library. This gallery space is currently open for exhibits June 2018 - Oct 2018, and Feb 2019-Dec 2019. Length of exhibits is negotiable but usually spans one to two months.

Cedar City Hall

Cedar City Hall is located 10 N Main Street Cedar City, UT 84720 and is open Mon - Fri 8 am - 5 pm and during certain city related meetings. Artists exhibited in this gallery will be acknowledged during a Cedar City Council Meeting. Cedar City Hall contains three gallery spaces:

  • Cedar City Council Chambers - 45'
  • North Hall - 33 '
  • South Hall - 20 '

All galleries are currently available for exhibits Mar 2018 - Dec 2019. Exhibits are typically on display for three consecutive months.
